If you’re short on cash, but already have an iPad and want to get an additional keyboard and mouse for it, and do not want to spend over $150.00 for the Smart Keyboard and an external Mouse, there is a way to use 3rd party accessories with the device, if you know how to pair the hardware together via Bluetooth. It’s usually simple and straight forward.
Here’s how:
- Make sure that the iPad, keyboard, and mouse are turned “ON”.
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth.
- Make sure that your Bluetooth setting is turned ON.
- Under that, you should see a list of available hardware you can pair with a button that says [Connect].
- Tap each button to pair the hardware.
- Depending on the type of hardware, it may ask you to enter a special ID number.
- This ID ensures that the hardware is only assigned to that device.
- Repeat the steps to pair each hardware you want.
- That’s it.
