You’re working remotely from your Mac, and your boss tells you that you need Windows in order to work on an upcoming project.  Now what?  Do you shell out over $1,000.00 for a Windows PC, or do you do the next best thing – install Windows 11 on your Mac.

Installing Windows 11 on Mac is an easy process – if you know what to do.  This article will take you through the process step by step using a well-known program called Parallels.  Parallels is software that allows a user to run Windows in a Virtual Machine on a Mac.  The software should come with a version of Windows 11 (you still need to purchase a license directly from Microsoft).

Here’s how to install Windows on Mac using Parallels:

  1. Go to Amazon (or directly to Parallels.com).
  2. Purchase and download the software.
  3. After that, find the DMG file on your computer and double click it.
  4. After the file is open, double click on the installation program to begin the install process.
  5. Follow the screens – it will take sometime for the install process to complete.
  6. After it installs, Windows 11 will boot up in a window normally.
  7. That’s it.

Microsoft gives you 30 days until you must purchase a license for Windows 11.
