Every fiber of my being is telling me not to write this article, but I also know that some of our readers can’t wait to get their hands on iOS 17 for iPhone and iPad.
A note of caution, this is BETA SOFTWARE which means it’s still in the testing stages, so it may break some necessary features on your device until another beta becomes available.
Without further a-do, here’s what you need to do:
- Back up your iPad to a computer and/or iCloud if you have not done so yet
- Go to the Apple Developer portal and sign-up with your Apple ID to join the developer program
- Open the “Settings” app on your iPhone
- Go to “General”
- Go to “Software Update”
- Go to “Beta Updates”
- Select “iOS 17 Developer Beta” from the options, then go back to the main Software Update screen
- With iOS 17 Developer Beta available, tap to “Download and Install” to begin the process of installing iOS 17
- That’s it.
