While most of you already know how to do the below, there will be a lot of new users that will not know. This article is a little how-to guide for them.
Now that Apple has said that Mountain Lion will be released sometime this month, some people are wondering how to obtain it when it is released.
With the introduction of the Mac App Store, obtaining the software is a piece of cake – even a 5 year old could do it 🙂
Just do the following:
1. Click on the Mac Store icon from your Dock.
2. Find the Mountain Lion advertisement.
3. Click the price icon to purchase the application.
4. The icon changes into a [DOWNLOAD] indicator. Click it.
5. The operating system will download on to your computer.
6. When its finished, click on the installation icon.
7. Follow the screens.
From past experiences, the download should take 1/2 hour to 45 minutes, and so will the actual installation.
