iPhone5SRecently, a small number of battery complaints have been popping up on Apple’s discussion boards.  It had further came to light when the New York Times contacted Apple about the issue.  An Apple rep (Teresa Brewer, an Apple spokeswoman) has acknowledged an issue, and said the following statement:

“We recently discovered a manufacturing issue affecting a very limited number of iPhone 5S devices that could cause the battery to take longer to charge or result in reduced battery life.  We are reaching out to customers with affected phones and will provide them with a replacement phone.”
