Recently, a small number of battery complaints have been popping up on Apple’s discussion boards. Â It had further came to light when the New York Times contacted Apple about the issue. Â An Apple rep (Teresa Brewer, an Apple spokeswoman)Â has acknowledged an issue, and said the following statement:
“We recently discovered a manufacturing issue affecting a very limited number of iPhone 5S devices that could cause the battery to take longer to charge or result in reduced battery life. Â We are reaching out to customers with affected phones and will provide them with a replacement phone.”
