If you were running the developer or public version of macOS Monterey and want to ensure you’re running the latest version, here are two ways to tell:
- Go to System Preferences > Software Update.
- The window that will open will say “Your Mac is up to Date.” with a time that your Mac last checked for an update.
- However, if the time shows when you last turned on your Mac, here’s a way to get a current update.
- Click the icon on the top of the window (next to System Preferences) to go back to the main menu.
- Click Software Update AGAIN.
- The update will then check for the latest update.
- That’s it.
This little known tip will ensure that you’re running the latest version of MacOS.
