Although we don’t usually report on Betas, it is a definite possibility that the upcoming iOS6 for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad will include the new National Emergency Alert system that the U.S. Government implemented earlier this month.
The notices will come in the form of a text alert, and may includes notices from the National Weather Service, Department of Homeland Security, and even from the President of the United States.
Persons do not have to sign up for the service, but can opt-out of it if they wish.
