iOS 5 comes with a neat little application called “Reminders”.  Reminders allows a user to set a reminder at a certain date and time.  When the iOS device reaches that date and time, it reminds the user of the reminder via a pop-up window or a title bar notice.

Opening the app first brings the user to today’s date.  At the bottom of the screen are the dates for the current month.  Selecting a date for the reminder is as easy as dragging one’s finger to that date.

After that, tap the “+” button at the upper-right (below the “Today” button).  Doing so brings up the keyboard enabling the user to input the title of the event.  Tap the title and the app will show another screen that will let the user give the details of an event.  Using the second screen should be self explanatory.

When the event happens, the iOS device will remind the user by either popping up a reminder window, or by showing a title bar reminder.
