How to set-up the Apple TV 4K with your iPhone

Now that the new Apple TV 4K is being shipped to customers, you probably want a quick way to setup and get started.

This how to is an overview of what to do with setting up with an iPhone via Bluetooth.

1. Take the device out of the box and put it near your TV.
2. Connect the HDMI Cable to the Apple TV and then on an available HDMI port on your TV.
3. Plug in the power cable into the Apple TV, and then to a power outlet.
4. Turn your TV and the Apple TV ON.
5. During the initial setup, the device will ask if you wish to set it up manually, or with an iPhone.
6. Choose iPhone.
7. On the iPhone, go to SETTINGS > BLUETOOTH 
8. Make sure Bluetooth is set to ON.
9. After a few seconds, a pop-up window will show up on the iPhone.
10. Follow the on-screen instructions.
11. If it doesn’t work, 1) The iPhone must be connected via Bluetooth to the Apple TV.  2) The iPhone must be near the Apple TV and repeat steps 6 – 10.
12. That’s it.
