Scroll Bars appear on the right side of a window and help a user scroll a page up or down.  The default setting for Mac is to have these disappear until a user hovers over the area where they would appear for them to show up.

If you’re like me and want them to be shown all the time, here’s what to do.

  1. Go to the  Apple menu and choose “System Settings”.
  2. Go to “Appearance”.
  3. Look for ‘Show Scroll Bars’ and choose the toggle next to “Always”.
  4. That’s it.

This setting is for all app windows on Mac.
