Apple forms energy company (no, really!)

Apple has created an energy company that’s registered in Delaware but is to be run at its headquarters in Cupertino, CA.

According to support documents, the company was formed to resell any excess energy generated by its solar farms  in Cupertino and Nevada to various areas around the United States.

According to the filing:

[Apple Energy LLC] is a Delaware limited liability company and is a 100% wholly owned subsidiary of Apple Inc. [Contact is] Apple Energy LLC, One Infinite Loop, Cupertino, CA 95014
