People who have been using the Apple News app to read stories from The New York Times may have gotten a surprise Monday morning, as the paper has announced that it’s leaving the platform over “readers’ attention and dollars” implying that the platform has not met up to the paper’s expectations regarding the number of readers and advertisers that use the service.
Stories from the paper had stopped appearing from the news service in Apple News’ headline feed.
