It's FREE

As we reported last week, Apple is having an “Educational Event” on Thursday.  While there have been many speculations as to what the company may unveil by other media outlets, I thought I would put our hat in the ring as well.

It is no secret that Apple has been in the education system since day 1.  I remember using an Apple //e in high school.  So, it would only be natural for the company to try and bring its current products into the educational system.

It has also been said that one of Steve Jobs‘s goals for the iPad was to replace textbooks with the device, and some high profile school districts have done just that.

Now, without further ado, here’s what I think Apple’s going to unveil:

1.  Updated version of iBooks with mostly educational text books:
This would allow students to download their study books on to the iPad.

2.  Special hardware pricing for Educational Institutions:
Even though the company already has this, they may expand its offerings.

3.  Special educational software discounts.

4.  A special section on iTunes for students and/or teachers.

What would you like to see on Thursday?  Please comment below.
