The latest update for the Apple TV includes a set up screen to enable a wireless keyboard. Doing this makes sense, as the old remote interface is old and hard to use.
Setting it up is easy. Here’s how:
0. Make sure your Apple TV has the latest software update from Apple.
1. Make sure the wireless keyboard is turned on and is pointed at the Apple TV.
2. On the Apple TV, go to SETTINGS > GENERAL > BLUETOOTH.
3. The Apple TV will search for the device.
4. When found, the Apple TV will show you a four digit number. Enter this number via the keyboard then press [ENTER].
5. The Apple TV then confirms that the pairing has been successful.
