Usually, Macs run fine most of the time.  But there may come a time when you may have to reset the Dock for one reason or another.

With macOS Catalina, Apple has added the ability to quit the Dock from the Finder menu.  But with other versions, you have to do it from the command line.

Here’s how:

  • Go in Terminal (Finder > Applications > Utilities > Terminal).
  • Type: killall dock
  • The Dock will reset itself.
  • That’s it.
