Advanced Mac users may wish to open a Mac App while using the command line (sometimes called the Terminal) for one reason or another.

Here’s how:

  • At the terminal prompt, type: open -a “nameofapp.app”
  • That’s it.

Just another way to quickly get to where you want to go on a Mac.
