How to: Manually back up your iOS Device to iTunes

We all know you can make iTunes automatically back up your iOS device when you plug it into your computer.

But did you know you can also tell iTunes to back up your device manually?  Here’s how:

1.  Make sure your device is plugged in and is showing in iTunes.
2.  Put your mouse on the device’s icon and right click on it.
3.  A drop down command window appears.
4.  Select BACKUP.

That’s it.  The above can be used to restore a device as well.
