The makers of the Linux Operating System Fedora has now made it possible to install it on Apple Silicon Macs, but with a catch.

In order to do the below, you must be willing for the O/S to take over the entire computer – wiping out MacOS and any data files that you may have.  If this sounds like something you want to do, read on.

How to install Fedora Linux on your Mac:

  1. LaunchTerminal (Finder > Applications > Utilities > Terminal).
  2. Type in: curl https://fedora-asahi-remix.org/install | sh
  3. Follow the prompts.
  4. That’s it.

Remember: Running the above will wipe out your Mac, so back up any important files, photos, etc.
