In a statement, Mark Zuckerberg said that the social media platform FaceBook has announced that it has suspended President Trump’s account “indefinitely” and for at least two weeks, after Election Day.  The platform has taken this step after the events which unfolded at Wednesday’sIn a  demonstration in Washington, DC where supporters stormed the U.S. Capital to protest the results of last November’s election.

Zuckerberg’s statement:

“We believe the risks of allowing the President to continue to use our service during this period are simply too great,” Zuckerberg said in a statement Thursday. “Therefore, we are extending the block we have placed on his Facebook and Instagram accounts indefinitely and for at least the next two weeks until the peaceful transition of power is complete.”
