PopPik is an iOS app for the iPhone and Apple Watch that allows a user to take a photo on their iPhone and have immedately available as a background image on your Apple Watch when you’re in the Apple Watch app. Â It can serve as a default app when a user raises his/her wrist to check the time. Â The user can customize the background with any photo that’s currently available in their photo library. Â Then, it allows one to have custom text at the bottom of the display, which is configured on the iPhone or other iOS devices.
The paid version offers an additional feature called ConnectAware.  Which informs a user when he/she is out of range or gets disconnected from their iPhone.
PROS:
- Ideal for those who want to customize their watch background in a hurry.
- Easy to sync up with the Apple Watch.
CONS:
- Confusing to set-up at first.  Didn’t know if the watch app could be set up on the device or I had to go on the iPhone device.
- User has to read all on-screen set-up instructions before trying to customize the watch.
Bottom Line:
Nice app for those who want a custom background for their Apple Watch.
