It’s winter time in the United States. When that happens, the Humidity drops, and when that happens, the air becomes dry. Then at that time comes the hazards of all electronics (including computers called Static Electricity.
Static Electricity comes when the surrounding air that you’re in becomes dry. Its can cause all kinds of problems such as nose bleeds, a stuffy nose, and the unfortunate side effect of getting a shock when you touch something. Even though those shocks don’t seem to harm a person, it can harm other stuff such as electronics and computers.
That’s why you should consider getting an anti-static mat. When someone touches it, it takes the electricity and and channels it away from the electronic, to a wire attached to the mat. This wire is then connected to something that is connected to ground (such as an outlet).
