Apple has added the following hardware to the Obsolete or Vintage list:

  • Mid 2013 and early 2014 11 and 13 inch MacBook Air.
  • Mid 2014 MacBook Pro.
  • 5th generation iPod Touch.

According to Apple, the word “vintage devices” as those that have not been manufactured for more than 5 years, but fewer then 7 years.  “Obsolete devices” are products that have been discontinued for more than 7 years.
