Focus Mode on iOS and the Mac was developed to help users focus on stuff they need to do without interruption from their device(s).

This tip will show you how to use, enable and disable the mode in iOS, so you can get more work done without interruptions.

Focus Mode has three default setups such as Work, Driving and Sleep.  But you can add more as necessary.

How to ADD a Focus:

  1. Go to Settings > Focus.
  2. Tap the Add button , then tap Custom or browse additional options.
  3. Enter a name for your Focus.
  4. Choose a color and an icon to represent your Focus, then tap Next.
  5. Customize the options for your Focus.

How to DELETE a Focus:

  1. Go to Settings > Focus.
  2. Scroll down until you find the Focus you wish to delete.
  3. Tap Delete Focus.

How to temporarily TURN OFF a Focus:

  1. Open Control Center.
  2. Find the Focus button.
  3. Tap or Click the Moon icon.

Turn Focus on or off using Siri:

  • Activate Siri, and say “Turn off the [name of Focus] Focus”.

Remember, Focus mutes what ever feature(s) you specify when setting it up.
