Rumor: Apple expanding in-store pickup to more stores

Apple has been trying a pilot program allowing customers to order online and then pick up the order at a local Apple retail store. Now, sources are telling us that the company will be expanding the program to other flagship stores beginning this Thursday. No word on which area(s) will see the program (yet).

As anticipated, Apple has begun a pilot program offering retail pickup for online orders. The option must be selected during the checkout process at Apple’s online store. Only the company’s three San Francisco outlets are available as destinations: aside from the flagship store, this includes Chestnut Street and Stonestown. Via: MacNN.com
