Early Friday, Apple released a revised Firmware update for its AirTag device. Firmware number 1.0.276 has a build number of 1A287b which further enhances an anti-stalking feature that was previously added with an earlier update.
Unfortunately, there is currently no way to force an update for an AirTag, as it is done by Over the Air through a connected iPhone. To ensure the update happens, put the AirTag near the iPhone, but you still have to wait for it to be rolled out to the device.
