How to setup an Apple TV to use a HomePod

If you purchased a HomePod for use as a speaker with an Apple TV, setup should be straight forward.  But this article should also give you some troubleshooting hints and tips incase something goes wrong.

Here’s how:

1. Make sure your Apple TV and the HomePod are ON.
2. Make sure your Apple TV and HomePod are on the same WIFI NETWORK.
3. On the Apple TV, go to Settings > Video and Audio > Audio Output.
4. Select the “Select…” option.
5. Select your HomePod.
6. Go back one menu to save the settings. 
7. That’s it. 

If you have one HomePod, you’re done. If you have more than one, repeat steps 4-5.
