How to remove somebody’s birthdate from Calendar in iOS

While it is helpful for you to know when someone’s birthday is, sometimes you don’t want to be reminded of that individual’s birthday for one reason or another. This is simple to do.

Here’s how:

1. Open Contacts.
2. Search for the person(s) you don’t want to be reminded.
3. Tap “Edit” (upper-right corner).
4. Scroll down until you see the Birthday entry.
5. Tap the Red Circle with a Line to delete the entry.
6. Verify that you wish to delete that birthdate.
7. That’s it. 

Bonus Tip:

Here’s how to completely get rid of birthday reminders from Contacts:

1. Open Calendar.
2. On the left should be a list of your categories for your Calendar.
3. Search for the Birthday section.
4. Uncheck it. 
5. That’s it. 

Now you won’t see anyone’s birthdays in your Calendar for Mac or iOS.
