Starting with iOS 16, Apple added a Search button at the bottom of the Home Screen. While most users will find this useful, you may not.
So, here’s how to remove it:
- Open the “Settings” app.
- Go to “Home Screen”.
- Look under the Search section and find the switch for “Show on Home Screen”.
- Flip that to the OFF position.
- That’s it.
Likewise, you can turn it back on by repeating the steps above.
Note: Some older iPhones may not have this feature.
