If you’ve used your Mac for any length of time, you probably have files (such as documents, financial information, etc.) on the computer.  Wouldn’t it be nice to quickly find a file and then open it right away?  Well, keep reading.

This article will show you two ways to do it.

Idea #1 – Spotlight:

Spotlight Search is perhaps the easiest and quickest way to search for any file.  Just press the [Command] + [Spacebar] and search away.

Idea #2 – The Finder:

The Finder is another way to search. Every Finder window has a search bar at the upper-right corner of the window.  Just click in that search bar and type something.

Searching for something on the Mac is easy if you know how. Well, now you do.
