Yesterday, I informed you that MacOS 13.3.1 fixed the Sidecar feature.  Now today, I’ll tell you what it is, and how to use it.

What IS Sidecar?

Sidecar enables a user to use an iPad as a secondary monitor when its near a Mac.  It can be used as a replacement for a second monitor in most situations.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to the  Apple menu and choose “System Settings”
  2. Go to “Displays”
  3. Click the + add button and choose the iPad under “Mirror or extend to:”
  4. The displays may flicker briefly and Sidecar will become active, now click on the iPad in “Displays” to access Sidecar settings in MacOS Settings.
  5. That’s it.
