On January 22, 1984 during the Super Bowl, Apple ran their famous “1984” commercial. The voice over painted an ominous debut of a new computer called the “Macintosh”. It was at the time, Steve Job’s way of announcing that the than Microsoft would have a competitor in the upcoming computer hardware and software wars.
