MacOS is a good operating system.  But sometimes, you need to get “under the hood” in order to do something outside of the GUI Environment.

Terminal is the only way to get under the hood. Fortunately, Apple has 5 different ways to open and use the feature.

  1. A Finder Folder – Right click on any folder, select Services, New Terminal at Folder.
  2. Spotlight Search – Press [Command] + [Spacebar] and type: terminal
  3. The Dock – Adding the Terminal icon to your Dock is another fast way to get into it
  4. The Finder – Open Finder > Utilities > Terminal
  5. Launchpad – Click on the Launchpad icon, find the Terminal icon, double click on it.
