Billing itself as “the world’s most luxurious hotel,” Dubai’s Burj Al Arab makes good on the label by presenting guests with 24-karat gold versions of Apple’s iPad to use during their stay. The Los Angeles Times noted the extravagant amenities last week. The iPads get their golden makeovers from London-based Gold & Co., which has been remaking Apple’s tablet with gold backings since 2011, starting with the iPad 2.
