Considering the New Magic Mouse? Not if You have an older Mac

I have a maxed out 2011 iMac computer. So, like you, I was excited at the fact that Apple had finally updated its wireless keyboard and trackpad. As soon as I posted the Press Release here, I got out my credit card and signed in to Apple.com with bated breath. I went to the new Magic Trackpad 2 web page and read the System Requirements area when something caught my eye

In that area, it states “Bluetooth 4.0-enabled Mac computer”.

(record scratching sound please!)

I couldn’t !@#$%^&*() believe what I was reading. I went into customer chat with a Apple rep. After 20 minutes of him verifying the current specs of the Mouse, he did indeed verify that it would NOT work with my 2011 Mac.

So if you want a new trackpad for that Mac, WE’RE OUTTA LUCK!!!!
