Nintendo says that Mario is no longer a plumber (no, really!)

Boy, the job market is tough – even for popular video game figures like Nintendo’s Super Mario.

Nintendo has officially changed the character’s bio from Plumber to a professional sports player.  Playing such sports as soccer and tennis.  (No, we’re not kidding).

The change will take effect immediately.
