Apple and Sprint are taking extensive steps to keep the Sprint iPhone launch under tight control, a detailed rumor may have uncovered on Monday. While the phones were already expected to ship on or near Wednesday and stay under lock and key until Friday, BGR was told by a reputed source that staff have a firm ultimatum not to open any of the devices. Apple staff will reportedly visit on Thursday and, if they see opened or tampered boxes, could lead to Sprint firing staff “immediately” and escorting them out.
