CNN is reporting that FaceBook’s parent company, Meta, has issued a formal statement that says the company will be restoring former President Donald Trump’s FaceBook and Instagram accounts.

The statement reads:

“Our determination is that the risk [to public safety] has sufficiently receded.  As such, we will be reinstating Mr. Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts in the coming weeks. However, we are doing so with new guardrails in place to deter repeat offenses. Meta President of Global Affairs Nick Clegg said in a blog post.”

The company suspended the account after the happenings that went on January 6th, 2020.
