iOS 18: How to record a phone call on iPhone

Apple has added the ability to record a current phone conversation on an iPhone using iOS 18.

Here’s how:

1. Call someone OR answer an incoming call. 
2. Tap the record button (the waveform icon) in the top-left corner of the call screen.
3. An automated voice will notify all participants that recording has begun.
4. The recording will automatically save to the Notes app when the call ends or when you stop the recording.
5. That’s it. 

Before doing so, be aware of laws in your state or province about receding telephone calls.

While some states and provinces allow for the recording of a phone call, others have tricky laws regarding the subject.
