How to update the Amazon Fire TV Stick

Updating your Amazon Fire TV Stick can be important as it ensures you’re getting the latest big fixes, enhancements, and security updates that may be available.  Updating is easy and only takes a few minutes.

Here’s how:

1. At the main menu, select the Settings (gear) icon.
2. Select My Fire TV.
3. Select About.
4. Select Check for System Update.
5. Follow the screens.
6. Always allow ample time for the update(s).  Do not turn your TV off during this time.
7. That’s it.
