Yes, this seems like a very basic how to, but you’d be surprised at how many new Mac users don’t know about this feature.

Sometimes, you may have to create a Folder on your Desktop for various reasons (documents, photos, videos, etc.) and you need to know how to create a new Folder on the Desktop.  It’s easy on Mac.

Here’s how:

1. Go to a blank area on the Desktop.
2. Right click on that area.
3. A drop down window will appear.
4. Select “New Folder.”
5. Give the Folder a name.
6. Press [Enter].
7. That’s it.

You can also do that in the Finder within any Folder.
