How to install tvOS 26 Beta on Apple TV
tvOS26 is coming and is supposed to be the biggest update in years. If you’re interested in trying the beta, make sure you have one of the following Apple TV devices:

The following Apple TV devices are compatible with tvOS 26:
- Apple TV HD (2015)
- Apple TV 4K (2017)
- Apple TV 4K (2nd Generation) (2021)
- Apple TV 4K (3rd Generation) (2022)
- Open the “Settings” app on Apple TV.
- Go to “System” and then select “Software Updates.”
- Choose “Beta Updates” and select either “tvOS 26 public beta” or “tvOS 26 developer beta,” depending on which you enrolled in.
- Return to the “Software Update” screen and choose to download and install the tvOS 26 beta on your Apple TV.
- That’s it.
Do not turn off your device while this update is being applied.
