A new unreleased model identifier, A3350, has surfaced in a Chinese regulatory filing, describing a “high-performance LCD display.” This strongly suggests that Apple is preparing to refresh the Studio Display, potentially launching as early as spring 2026, around the product’s four-year anniversary.

Leaked internal references and prior reports indicate several significant upgrades. The new display will feature an A19 chip, a substantial improvement over the current A13 Bionic chip. This upgrade is expected to enhance performance in features like Center Stage, Spatial Audio processing, and “Hey Siri” responsiveness.

The Studio Display will also support 120Hz ProMotion with variable refresh rates, doubling the existing 60Hz cap. This will result in noticeably smoother scrolling, animations, and cursor movement.

HDR support will be introduced, likely through mini-LED backlighting in some configurations. This will address the current model’s biggest limitation, which is its 600-nit SDR-only panel that lacks the contrast and brightness of modern premium displays.

The refreshed Studio Display will maintain its 27-inch 5K resolution, premium aluminum design, built-in 12MP Ultra Wide camera with Center Stage, six-speaker Spatial Audio system, and robust Thunderbolt/USB-C connectivity.
