Apple TV usually releases new episodes midweek or at the end of the week, depending on the show. “Pluribus” is scheduled to air on Fridays, but the platform has a habit of surprising viewers with early drops, and this is the second one this season.
Back in November, episode five was released two days early to coincide with Thanksgiving and Black Friday celebrations. Now, with Christmas approaching, the finale, originally set for December 26th, has been moved up to December 24th.
This change is a welcome one because it means you can stream the finale as early as Tuesday evening. Apple TV makes new episodes available at 9 p.m. Eastern Time on the eve of their official release date. (“Palm Royale” is the only other original dropping new content next week, and it follows its usual Wednesday schedule.)
The updated release date is already reflected in the Apple TV app. Episode nine, which is 57 minutes long, claims the bronze medal for the longest episode in the season, trailing the 59-minute premiere and the hour-plus episode two.
This installment concludes Pluribus’s debut season. Fortunately, there’s no need to worry about renewal anxiety. Apple has already green lit two seasons of “Pluribus” in 2022, and the show’s record-breaking viewership as the streamer’s biggest hit to date only confirms that more seasons are on the way.
