Apple TV celebrates season two premiere of global hit thriller ‘Hijack’
Last Thursday night, Apple TV hosted a special screening and event for the highly anticipated second season of the global hit action thriller “Hijack,” executive produced by and starring the acclaimed Idris Elba. The eight-episode second season will premiere with the first episode on January 14, followed by new episodes every Wednesday until March 4, 2026.

The event saw the presence of the series star and executive producer, Idris Elba, along with co-creator, director, and executive producer Jim Field Smith, and executive producers Hakan Kousetta and Jamie Laurenson.
In the gripping second season of “Hijack,” a Berlin underground train and its commuters find themselves in a perilous situation when they are taken hostage. Simultaneously, authorities on the ground are frantically working to rescue hundreds of lives. Sam Nelson, portrayed by Elba, becomes the central figure in this crisis, where a single misstep could lead to catastrophic consequences.
Produced by 60Forty Films and Idiotlamp Productions, season two of “Hijack” is executive produced by Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, and Tom Nash at 60Forty Films, alongside executive producers George Kay and Field Smith for Idiotlamp Productions. Field Smith also takes on the role of lead director for the series.
