Report: iOS 7 now installed on 78% of active iOS devices

According to Apple’s own stats, iOS 7 has been installed on nearly 78% of all active iOS devices.  That stat is up 4% from earlier in December.

The figures cover a 7-day period ending on December 29th, 2013.  With iOS 7 installed on most of the devices, iOS 6 remains installed on 18% of user’s iPhones and related devices – while earlier versions of the operating system counts at just 4%.

The gain shows that iOS 7 is growing in popularity and developers should consider updating there app(s) to the newest operating system, if they haven’t done so already.
