On Saturday morning, Amazon.com sent an email to its customers about a new service called ‘FireTV Recast‘.

FireTV Recast is an app for Android, iOS, and Fire Tablets letting anyone watch over the air channels based on your location, and it lets a user use it as a DVR to record your favorite sports, TV shows, movies, and more.

According to the information:

Fire TV Recast is a DVR that lets you watch and record over-the-air TV at home or on-the-go with no monthly fees. Watch and record live sports, local news, and other can’t miss TV from channels available in your area through an HD antenna (sold separately) like ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, PBS, and The CW. Specific channel availability and reception varies by location.

Watch at home with a Fire TV or Echo Show, or take your shows with you with the Fire TV mobile app on compatible mobile devices, including iOS and Android devices, and Fire tablets.
