Apple will NOT be providing financial or technical assistance for the GOP Convention because of Trump

Last week, Apple privately informed GOP leaders that it will not be providing financial or technical support for this year’s GOP Convention because of comments that the Presidential Candidate [Donald Trump] has said about women, immigrants and minorities.

Unlike Google and FaceBook, which has already promised some support for the event, Apple decided against donating technology or cash to the effort, according to two sources familiar with the iPhone maker’s plans.

Apple has been known to provide money and equipment for both sides of the aisle in the past.

For the record, the company has already provided money and equipment for the Democratic National Convention which is scheduled for next month.
