Even though their seems to be a lot of establishments that offer ‘free WiFi’, their maybe situations where that may not be the case.
Fortunately, it is possible that you can use an iPhone as a hotspot, providing your cell company offers the service.
Here’s how to set it up:
- Go to Settings > Personal Hotspot *.
- Flip the Personal Hotspot option to “ON“
- Follow the directions under the option to connect your computer to the iPhone.
- That’s it.

Remember, using this option may count AGAINST your monthly data allowance.
