Automatic updates is a great way to keep your iOS device updated with the latest features and bug fixes.  It will work during a time when a user is not using the device (usually during the night when a user is a sleep), is plugged in, and is connected to WiFi.

Here’s how to enable the feature:

  • Go to SettingsGeneralSoftware Update.
  • Select the Automatic Updates option.
  • Make sure the option is turned ON.
  • That’s it.

A user can also do an update manually by invoking the software update option anytime.
