How to get a “Save As….” option in virtually any Mac App

Years ago, the Save As…. option used to appear by default within the FILE menu option in apps such as iWork, Pages, and others.  Now, because of someone at Apple who decided to hide the option, a user has to make it appear with a quick key combination.

Here’s how:

• While inside an app, select FILE.
• When it drops down, hold down the ALT key.
• The option appears.
• That’s it.

While the command is not used often, it’s nice to know how to get to it incase you need to save a document or file under a different name.
